Beginning in 2016, AMP will assist ONCC with the development of its oncology nursing certification examinations, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®), Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON®), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP®), Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS®), and Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCNTM) Examinations. AMP will also assist ONCC with development and administration of its Individual Learning Needs Assessment, a continuing competence measurement tool.
AMP is honored have this opportunity to work with an organization that promotes excellence in patient care and professional practice and shares our focus on developing the highest quality certification programs.

AMP has recently completed a national job analysis study to update its national real estate licensure examinations, as described in the attached Summary Report. The study resulted in minor but important changes to the test specifications for our entry-level multiple-choice examination and our advanced-level simulation examination. These changes are aimed at keeping the AMP Real Estate Program examinations reflective of current real estate practice. Administration of new examinations corresponding to the updated specifications will begin in the spring of 2016. Before implementation in each state, an updated Candidate Handbook will be available through the Candidate section of our website. AMP will work with state agencies and approved real estate schools to communicate all changes prior to implementation.

Ensuring a consistent, fair experience for all testing candidates can be a difficult task when faced with the reality that not all candidates have the same needs. It is especially important when candidates request special accommodations for their exam. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certainly sets out some black and white rules for testing vendors and testing programs, but it also has some grey area worth consideration.  An article recently published in the AMP Connection discusses some of the issues in granting special accommodations and ensuring fairness for all candidates.

AMP recently took part in “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work” Day!  The day was filled with hands-on, interactive activities that showed the kids a vast range of potential job opportunities and gave them a glimpse into what their parents and/or mentors experience in the workplace. The kids worked together to develop a new organization complete with a mission statement, logo and a tagline.  They also made stops in accounting, IT, examination services, candidate support center and several other departments throughout the day. AMP staff look forward to this annual event and enjoy the opportunity to help children connect what they learn at school with the actual working world.

AMP Management Services is proud to have been awarded re-accreditation by AMC Institute, the global trade association representing the association management industry. We feel honored to be in the ranks of an elite group of Association Management Companies (AMC). Among 500+ AMCs worldwide, only 74 have achieved AMC Institute Accreditation, demonstrating the commitment and the ability to deliver the highest level of professional management services to association and not-for-profit clients.

AMC Institute Accreditation is recognized and supported by ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership and is based on the ANSI Standard of Good Practices for the AMC Industry.  ANSI requires that the standard be reviewed and updated regularly to remain an approved standard. To ensure accredited AMCs are continuing to follow the standards, accreditation status is evaluated every four years and includes an audited review by an independent CPA who scrutinizes operational documents, conducts multiple in-depth staff interviews and compares findings to required standards in the following service areas:

  • Client Contracts: Review Procedures and Requirements
  • Servicing the Client and Service Delivery Procedures
  • Project (Service) Completion, Reviews, and Post Contractual Procedures
  • Financial Management and Internal Controls
  • Insurance Coverage
  • Employee Recruitment and Selection
  • Employee Training and Professional Development Procedures
  • Subcontracting and Purchasing Requirements
  • Record Keeping Requirements
  • Internal and External Review Requirements
While preparing for the accreditation review is a major undertaking, we are proud to subject ourselves to the most demanding and comprehensive evaluation in the industry so our clients are assured their management company operates with the highest level of professionalism and responsibility, and consistently meets or exceeds all industry standards. For more about AMC Institute accreditation and the detailed standards, visit their website.

AMP recently welcomed the Real Estate Advisory Board to Kansas City for our annual meeting. For more than 20 years, this meeting has provided an opportunity for representatives from all jurisdictions using AMP’s national real estate licensure examinations to collaborate and discuss issues important to the licensing of real estate professionals and meet face-to-face with AMP staff of all levels working on their programs. This year we started the visit with a tour of the local Boulevard Brewery followed by some signature Kansas City BBQ. Topics of discussion included important news and trends from each jurisdiction, review of examination performance, monitoring and improving instructor performance, computer-based testing network updates, and new/improved services from AMP. Representatives were also provided a demonstration of AMP’s new website and its enhanced functionality and ease of use for testing candidates.

We were pleased to welcome our friends from Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Washington and Wyoming. Unfortunately, representatives from Missouri, South Dakota and Vermont were unable to join us this year. We look forward to another year of quality real estate testing and look forward to meeting again in 2014.
